Receive Up to $1500 of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Credits from edX

AWS Credits from Edx
The educational platform edX is offering up to $500 in Amazon Web Services (AWS) credit for completeing each of these entrepeneurship classes for a total of up to $1500
- User Innovation
- Entrepreneurship 101
- Entrepreneurship 102
There are a couple of caveats in that you have to pass the course with a “verified certificate” which means you have to pay for each course and provide a photo of yourself and your identification so that your identity can be verified. Please note that to get the credits the courses have to be completed by October 31, 2016.
I have taken both the 101 and 102 entrepreneur-ship courses, passed with a verified certificate, and received $1000 in credits. The verification was simple, and I had to spend $50 for each of the classes. I plan on taking the user innovation course soon which is self-paced and costs $100.
To be honest, there were a few interesting things that I learned from the 101 and 102 classes but certainly nothing earth-shattering. I would not have taken the classes had it not been for the AWS credits and I would have been disappointed with what I learned for $100 if I didn’t receive any AWS credits-I can definitely find a better use for my educational dollars than these classes.
With that said, I plan on taking the user innovation course as the AWS credits afford me more time with Amazon’s Machine Learning services.
